A familiar spirit is a spirit who has crossed over, who you know from this life or another life.  For example if your grandmother died 5 years ago and regularly comes through for you, then she is a familiar spirit for you.  This energy form will help you connect with those who have passed over, especially your familiar spirits.  The energy is one of love, compassion, understanding and positive nature and can only be used for the highest good of all to aid them in their communication with spirit.  If anyone tries to use this energy for negativity, it will not be allowed, and will simply dissipate and never return to you.  You must use this energy regularly in order for it to be of much benefit to you.  If you put the work in, you will be able to establish a stronger connection with spirit, especially your familiar spirits.  You can use the energy during meditation as well as during readings.
